“Yesterday is history

 Tomorrow is a mystery

 Today is a gift

That is why we call it the present”

A.A Milne

The Gift of Giving

I have received some beautiful gifts, not due to their cost but because of the thought that went into each, reflecting something about my character.  Some of them hand made with love and some of them purchased with love.  Most of the time green!   I am very lucky.

It is of course lovely to receive gifts on your birthday, at Christmas or Mother’s/Father’s Day.  Sometimes it is special just to receive or give someone a gift for the pure joy of giving and receiving.

You see an item that makes you think of a person, and if it is within your budget,  you purchase said item, wrap it carefully, sometimes finding an accompanying card to pen some words,  and then tah dah …..you present your gift!

Out of The Blue

I know we shouldn’t need to give someone a gift to show them how much we care, how much we appreciate them, respect them, acknowledge them ….however I challenge all of you  to deny that little feeling of uniqueness when you  present or give someone a gift out of the blue. It  makes you feel acknowledged, special,  that you are in someone’s thoughts and you are not alone. It can truly improve someone’s day, health and well-being and create a little bit of sunshine when they may be having a grey day!

Arthouse Unlimited – The Gift That Keeps On Giving

A company that Tradewinds support does just that – it brings sunshine into peoples lives!  Arthouse Unlimited is a collective or artists all with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities and difficulties all of which require varying levels of support. The artists work alongside instructors to create artworks which are developed into products for sale. Offering a sense of purpose and  being truly respected improves health and well-being. This  is what  the Arthouse Unlimited philosophy believes in. By challenging perceptions and creating better acceptance and inclusion for people living with disabilities.

A very worthy cause and the most beautiful of gifts that keep on giving.
