Janet Treby studied Printmaking and Sculpture at the West Surrey College of Art and Design, going on to receive her master’s in Printmaking, specialising in Mezzotint and Lithography. From here, she began working as a gallery artist at Curwen Gallery, winning several awards during this time, including the Lloyds Young Printmaker and the Elizabeth Greenshield Awards.
Following her time at Curwen Gallery, Janet had a successful career with London Contemporary Art.
Her figurative hand drawn lithography and silkscreens became internationally known, her work exhibiting regularly across the globe; in the USA, Moscow and Japan.
Now a self-published artist, Janet lives in Cornwall, where she is inspired by the beautiful environment, “particularly the patterns and the mysteries of nature”.
