Lucie Sivicka is a potter and stained glass artist living in Penzance. Originally, the artist is from a small town called Zatec, Czech Republic, which is famous for its hops and beer. It was in the Czech town of Bechyne where she studied at the country’s premiere art and ceramic school for four years, going on to make pottery and throw for twenty years.
Lucie has worked both for companies and independently in her own studios, as well as sharing her passions teaching pottery for Czech NGO’s.
She is also an acclaimed glass artist creating windows and lampshades, utilising both leading and Tiffany techniques.
Now a permanent Cornwall resident, she enjoys making colourful pottery inspired by the sea and nature that surround her, creating mugs, jugs, teapots and more fired to low stoneware, as well as continuing to produce beautiful stained-glass work.
